Cornhusker Power Employees Work One Year Without a Lost-Time Accident
Cornhusker Power employees worked one year and 100, 000 hours without a lost-time accident. The last accident for the 46 full-time employees and one part-time employee was on March 1, 2007.
Safety Chairman Charlie Keezer said all employees pay attention to working safely. Before work is begun, we talk about safety. We learn every safety aspect of the job to be accomplished. Also, we look out for the safety of our co-workers.”
“Working safely is of highest priority for our employees. It is remarkable that our employees have had only one lost-time accident in the last 18 years. Our excellent safety record saves the District thousands of dollars annually,” said General Manager and CEO Ron Hostetter.
